Lapland Wilderness Challenge

Lapland Wilderness Challenge is an exiting summer adventure under the midnight sun. This three day program will measure your creativity, mental force and group working skills. Teams will challenge the Lappish nature and learn both the traditional and modern ways of living. You need to know how to make a fire but also be prepared to handle a golf ball or a quad bike.

This program can be taylor-made to meet your specific needs whether it is a team-building event as an incentive for your staff or an active weekend amongst friends.

Programme day 1.

Arrival to Harriniva Holiday Centre and accommodation in cosy hotel rooms.

The group is divided in teams, which will compete in different Lappish activities during the day. The activities will be specified according to your needs.

Program examples: box climbing, where one team member will climb a tower build of boxes while others support the structure and build it higher. Building a traditional Lappish teepee can also be a great team activity. Other programs can be for example: exploring the forests with quad bikes, training your golf swing over the river to Sweden or your aim with a BB gun.

These activities enhance creativity and problems solving abilities and above all help build stronger teams.

Dining can be arranged in the cosy restaurant Harriniva (230 seats), in the Aurora Borealis kota-restaurant (80 seats) or in one of our outdoor dining areas around open fire. In the evening you can relax and share the day’s events in the sauna. You can refresh yourself by dipping into the river or in our outdoor hot tub.

Programme day 2.

After a full Scandinavian breakfast the activities continue on land and water.

Program example for the second day is a riverrafting competition. The journey starts by crossing the river on logs, after which the teams start each with an own raft along the Muonio river competing on speed and different tasks. The tasks include for example gold panning and fishing for champagne. The exitement rises towards the end of trip as the last rapids are the quite big and challenging. There is always a trained rafting guide to assist. Picnic lunch is prepared on an open fire during the day.

After a dinner with delicious Lappish specialities the prices and diplomas are awarded for the great achievements over the two days. The evening includes relaxing in sauna and perhaps also in the hotel bar!

Winning in Wilderness Challenge is not only about being first, but overcoming your limits and learning new skills as well trust in groups.
