Program First Day

Arrival at the Kittilä airport - guided transfer to Harriniva (1 hour) - after arrival to Harriniva all necessary equipment for the next days in your cosy rooms: Overall, gloves, hat, socks and helmet - delicious welcome dinner with salmon in Mutterikota - Lapish baptism given by a shaman after dinner - Overnight in Harriniva

Program Second Day

Introduction to snowmobile driving and excursion across snow covered woods, frozen lakes and rivers and along the fells - reindeer farm Torassieppi - information about reindeer herding and driving a reindeer sled - lunch break around an open fire in a traditional teepee - after returning typical Finnish sauna and a dip into the ice hole - dinner in the cosy Kuukkeli restaurant - Overnight in Harriniva

Program Third Day

Guided tour in the Arctic Sleddog Center where more than 350 Huskies live - dogsled safari - lunch break around an open fire - after return Finnish sauna

Option: Rallye Car Driving

At the same time with the dogsled safari: One half of the group is going with the dogs and the other part is doing the Rallye Car Driving in original rallye cars on a frozen lake with slalom driving, hand brake pirouettes, speed track, driver’s competition and co-piloting with a real rallye driver. We change the groups after lunch break.

Farewell dinner is served in our cosy Kuukkeli restaurant in the hotel or in the Metsäpirtti Kota only 3 km away from the hotel.

Option: Metsäpirtti Kota

You gain to the Metsäpirtti Kota with wooden sleds pulled by snowmobiles. Candles and flambeaus are illuminating the Kota and cares for a romantic ambience. After a welcome drink follows a 3-course-menu with lappish specialties and a traditional Joiku-Performance. Arriving back to Harriniva, our pub is the best place for a cosy ending of the your trip to the far north.

Program Fourth Day

Breakfast - transfer to the airport and flight back home.
