You will meet ‘Meister’ and the other nearly 400 huskies in the guided tour to Harriniva Arctic Sled-dog Centre! After the information it is time for you to “grab the wheel”. Get the feeling of

*TOUR DE OLOSVUOMA
Visit the Harriniva Arctic Sled Dog Centre (one of the largest in Europe) and continue the day with a 17km husky safari. The sled will slide through the enchanted forest of Olosvuoma where

The chances of seeing the famous ‘Aurora Borealis’ are great on this night safari by snowmobiles. The approximately 20km tour takes you to the top of a nearby fell, where you will enjoy
some warm drinks and feel how the sky is closer and stars brighter… You can either drive your own ski-doo or enjoy the ride in guide’s sled. Not suitable for children under 5 years.

REINDEER PROGRAMMES

Experience the old way of travelling over thick snow. The trek takes place in the surrounding areas of the wild river Muonio and Harriniva.

*PICNIC PULKKA
Try something very typical Finnish – Take out a toboggan filled with logs, knife, matches, hot berry juice and Finnish sausages. You get instructions to the idyllic fireplace on the riverbank.
Make a fire and keep an eye on the northern lights! - it is also allowed to take out own beverages.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE SAFARI PROGRAMMES IN HARRINIVA AND JERIS
Children: 5-14 years old reduction 40%Please note! The individual programmes will be operated from Jeris or from Harriniva depending on the number of guests. The final information will be given at the reception on
previous day. We hold the right for changes due to weather.
Snowmobile safaris
Rates include the necessary equipment (thermo-overall, mittens, socks, boots, hat, helmet) and insurance for the snowmobile. Please notice that the driver of the snowmobile is held liable
for damages caused to the vehicle and the self-risk amount is max. Eur 550 / driver / snowmobile / accident case. The driver of the snowmobile must be at least 15 years of age with a valid
driving licence (for vehicles with at least 125 cc). For children under 15 years we recommend only 2 – 4 hour snowmobile safaris. Children sit in a sled behind guides snowmobile.
The snowmobiles we use on our safaris are with min. 380 cc.
Husky safaris
The 2-day husky safari might be cancelled depending on the weather conditions during November and beginning of December.
All husky safari rates include the necessary equipment (thermo-overall, mittens, socks, boots, hat). Children over 12 years can usually drive a husky team themselves but this depends
completely on the size of the child. We keep the right to decide the arrangements for children here in Harriniva according to the weather conditions and size of the child. Children between 5
– 12 years of age sit in the guide’s sledge during safaris. We recommend only short husky safaris for small children.
Please contact Harriniva Holiday Centre for more information and for reservations. Reservations must be made the previous day before 3pm!
