3-day Snowmobile Safari in Northwest Lapland

Come and enjoy the fascinating beauty of the Lapp nature on our snowmobile safari! Driving the snowmobile is an excellent way of getting to know the wintery wilds of Lapland. The routes are planned with environmental considerations in mind. The participants are provided with full equipment and safety regulations are always given before starting the engines.

Day 1

Arrival at the Kittilä airport and a transfer to Muonio - HARRINIVA Holiday Centre (approx. 1 hour). Information about the programme of the next days. Dinner in Harriniva and overnight in nice log cabins for 4-6 persons with shower and WC near Harriniva.

Day 2

After breakfast you will be provided with the safari equipment. Our experienced guides will show you how to drive the snowmobile and then you will start the safari.

Day 2 - 4

The safari will take place in the beautiful winter landscape of the Fell Lapland. The route will take you through the forests, partly close to the treeless fell region, over frozen lakes and rivers. You will overnight in simple, yet cosy wilderness huts (without electricity, shower/WC). Daily distances will vary between 80-100 km depending on the weather conditions and the skills of the participants. Your luggage will be transported in the sledge during the safari. You will return to Harriniva in the afternoon of 4th day and have a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight in in log cabins near Harriniva.

Day 5

Breakfast and a transfer to Kittilä airport.
